Why is our restaurant called Gurkha?

Gurkha is the name of those famous fearless and brave warriors who were born in the Himalaya Mountains of Nepal. They are ready to sacrifice their body and life in the name of truth, duty and discipline. And they have shown it many times at many battlefields in the world, like World War I and II, Cashmere, Kargil, Iraq, Afghanistan, Hong-Kong, Malaysia, Falklands and of course India and the United Kingdom.
They take no notice of extreme heat or cold, or day or night, or sleep or hunger to achieve their goals. They would never accept a defeat. If you ask them, what makes you Gurkhas, they would answer: Our heart is the stones of Nepali mountains, Nepali long knife Khukuri is our hands, bullet, powder and explosive is our dress, guns are our feet. And the delicious Himalayan food is our soul.
That is exactly the reason to choose Gurkha as the name of our restaurant.
'Uncomplaining you endure hunger and thirst and wounds; and at the last your unwavering lines disappear into the smoke and wrath of battle. Bravest of the brave, most generous of the generous, never had country more faithful friends than you!'
Professor Sir Ralph Turner
